Put a lid on it!

In the scheme of menopause moments, this was just a little menopause oversight, annoying but no serious consequences.

I spotted the stupid laundry, let it sit awhile, added the detergent and set the cycle. Then I headed out for the day, expecting to initiate dry and fold upon my return. Well, the soak's on me! Stupid laundry sat all day in soapy water because I forgot to close the washer lid before I left.

How's that for airing my dirty laundry?

I am guilty as charged on this one, and have done it several times. you would think I would learn after the first time. I have also gone to put the linens in on Saturday AM and found the ones from last week still in the washer. Only did that once. but I did leave them in the dryer a week.

Yep, that's typical for me. Either that or I let it set in teh washer for 3-4 days, forgetting it was washed.

Sandra, you once again sound like a kindred spirit, storing clothes in the dryer and the washer for that matter.

KJ, and Sandra too for that matter, have you gotten the mildew thing going when you leave wash to sit for days on end? I sometimes wonder if someone will comment on the musty smell when I end up wearing a t-shirt from such a load--I certainly notice it.

Oh, I'm guilty of that too! So now every time I pass the washer and dryer (well, almost every time), I open the lid to the washer and the door to the dryer to see if anything's been left inside!

I do this all the time and I hardly ever leave home. Besides that I'm so far past menopause I barely remember it. I'm sorry to tell you this forgetfulness will not pass with menopause. Aren't you glad I dropped by?

Oh! I've been there, done that....Multiple times! As far as leaving the wash for days, I just start over and rewash again to prevent the mildew smell. Usually the second time around I am more dilegent about finishing the job. LOL
