Milk in the cupboard, cornflakes in the 'frig. Women of 'a certain age' find these moments infinitely amusing...and definitely scary. Are we overwhelmed, inattentive, or just moseying on down the road to dementia?
I'm an aging female internist, and I invite you to share your own menopause moments, or just take a moment to read stories and information from my life, my practice, and the latest from the world of medical research.

A neighborly piece of advice?
Five words you do not want to hear from your son while you're out of town whether you're menopausal or not:
I've been keeping up with your blog on my feeder, but not been commenting much.
Thought of you friday .. in my PCP's office ..as she Rx'd Pristiq for my Perimenopausal symptoms .. she brought it up when she noticed the hot flash I was having in her presence!!!
(Prestiq and Myasthenia Gravis don't mix, I learned the hard way. I'll be telling her tomorrow)
I can't imagine what I'd do if my son said "did the neighbors call you?" I'd have a heart attack then ask questions!
Fortunately, Dee, the drama dropped off quickly thereafter. Neighbor noted at 4:00 a.m. (what was he doing up then??) that my son and friend in friend's unfamiliar car (what were they doing up and out then??) were entering our darkened house. All's well that end's well, and I'm glad that neighbors take note of neighborly happenings.

Oh, no. I remember being asked a few questions like that when my children were in high school and college...
lol
Oh my gawd!! This makes me laugh!
Here's one from today -- 17 year old son. "Mom, you know how you told me you got into an accident once backing out of a parking space?"
Judy....what was the result of that call? You left us dangling here. :)
